When your iPad becomes a part of the retro TV, the iPad stand can hold your device in landscape viewing mode, and there is a cloth-lined cutout right beside the location of the iPad speaker for optimal sound, while the back cutout allows you to charge your iPad without any obstacle. Apart from that, the iPad stand is compatible with iPad and iPad 2, apparently it also can be used on the new iPad.
