There have been several rumors of the PlayStation 4 floating about, with some saying that Sony’s next-gen console will be revealed at E3 2012 and will be released some time in 2013. While we can’t confirm those rumors, what we do have is Ken Kutaragi revealing that he and members of the “old guard” are working on secret project that is “totally cool”.
If you don’t know who Ken Kutaragi is, he is considered by many to be the father of the original Sony PlayStation. He was also instrumental in developing the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable and has even served as the President of Sony Computer Entertainment before.
With such deep involvement in the PlayStation franchise, would be it out of the question to imagine that he could be working on the highly rumored, but often denied, PlayStation 4? Since that’s all he revealed, let’s just chalk this up to speculation for now.
